Exploring the house, the friends found old portraits staring
down at them with lifeless eyes. Lena felt a shiver run down her spine as she
noticed one portrait in particular a stern-looking man whose eyes seemed to
follow her every move. They joked to ease the tension, but an undercurrent of
fear rippled through the group.
In the basement, they discovered a hidden door behind a
bookshelf. Curiosity getting the better of them, they pried it open to reveal a
narrow staircase descending into darkness.
Armed with only their phone flashlights, they ventured down
the stairs, their footsteps echoing ominously.
At the bottom, they found a small, dimly lit room with an
altar in the center, covered in strange symbols and old, yellowed papers.
